Industrial Fairy Forest explores the textures of the city and nature. Influenced by graffiti, with its strictly metallic color palettes, I interlaced construction foam to depict rippled textures that correspond to the society's heavy architectural design. The shapes that the foam forms remind me of the textures one would find in nature. The somewhat provocative and bold use of industrial color palettes is paired with the aesthetic virtues of nature... such as fruits, flowers or fallen branches. The best place to present my vision was the Königsforst in Cologne. The eerie feeling of the mossy birch forest paired with the liveliness of my paintings became an impressive visionary experience. To bring in the element of sound, I produced a low-frequency track that incorporates both soundscapes from the congested city streets and the meditative frequencies of our earth.
